Well, only 5 people of the New Orleans folks housed at the Ramada wanted help for resumes etc.. (I volunteered to help NO evacuees with computer skills training and resume help). There are 40-some people there and none of them have jobs, and yet…. For a few weeks there I was more optimistic about the people of that fair city, but now… It kind of reminds me of those movies where god is going to destroy the earth but the angel convinces him to wait because there is one good person on earth who deserves saving. Well, I suppose at least there are 5.

We interviewed someone for C’s job. He seems like a quiet, nice guy, but I am not sure how qualified he is. We gave him the test, so we’ll see how he does.

Off to Indy this weekend. Staying at Paul’s parent’s house will be us, the neices, their dog Colby, and Kita. I will be very tired on Monday!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for the friends we have in Houston. Most of them seem to be staying for the hurricane (too hard to get out as the traffic, which is awful on a normal day, is impossible today).

The site was hacked a bit ago. Restoration of missing items are in progress. Let me know which albums you can live without if you are missing some.

Man – yesterday somewhat sucked. This was perhaps my last bulletin and the software totally crapped out. So I spent all day fucking with it, trying to find other copies etc. In the end I recreated the bulletin in Publisher which I’d never used before. It was that or buy Pagemaker for $500 for the last bulletin.)

On the upside I had a great time at Laurie and Ed’s wedding. Beautiful ceremony, good dancing and good eats. I have some pictures that I will post if I ever get the galleries restored. I’ve been a bit busy these days.
